We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, operations and service focused Director of Food + Drink. Under the stewardship of the General Manager, the Director of Food + Drink spearheads all culinary aspects at Woodside. Guiding all food and beverage operations, this director crafts strategic plans to amplify sales and revenues through the harmony of customer satisfaction and fostering engagement among our treasured members and staff.

The Director of Food + Drink sets the strategic direction for the Food + Drink department including the Earth Bar, indoor bar and pool bar, kitchen, pool grill and poolside service.

• Oversees development of healthy, diverse menus, including vegan, gluten-free, and health-focused items, adapting seasonally for Grab + Go, cocktails, and kitchen menus.
• Leads the Food + Drink Manager and the Executive Chef including ongoing coaching and mentoring to encourage professional development, assists with staffing and ensures administration of annual Performance Evaluations process.
• Prepares annual Food + Drink budget; ensures achievement of budgeted food and beverage sales, labor costs and profitability of all Food + Drink outlets including monthly forecasting and reforecasting while monitoring effective inventory.
• Ensures excellent Woodside member centric service through on-going staff training and seeking staff insight. 
• Creates and implements effective opportunities with the Marketing department by communicating priorities.
• Implementation of new systems, processes, and procedures as they pertain to the Food + Drink department.
• Responds to all incoming requests for events and catering opportunities for the business including inquiries, logistics, room fee, customized menus, technology needs, staff requirements and internal club communications. 
• Oversees all city and state inspections and department licensing.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food and beverage service management required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, food service management or Culinary School Diploma preferred; minimum associate degree.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a busy atmosphere which includes delegating, pitching in, giving direction while remaining calm and flexible.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• Excellent selling capabilities with a desire to coach and teach service and selling techniques to the team.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize and delegate multiple tasks and attention to detail.
• Strong judgement and decision-making skills both in leading people and in managing finances.
• Passionate about overall wellness, with a focus on healthy and alternative food options and current trends.
• Significant working knowledge of computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
• Certification in food management and safety; compliance with all state, county and city health and safety regulations.
