Located at 701 Washington Street, Hotel 1928 is the historic restoration and adaptive reuse of the former Grand Karem Shrine Temple Building. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Hotel Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for the overall management and performance of the hotel's Food and Beverage operations. This includes overseeing all restaurants/bar banquets, and catering events. The Director of Food and Beverage will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to achieve financial goals and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and implement Food and Beverage strategies that drive revenue growth and improve profitability.
- Oversee all Food and Beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and catering events.
- Ensure that all Food and Beverage offerings meet or exceed guest expectations in terms of quality, presentation, and service.
- Hire, train, and manage staff, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching as necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with guests, vendors, and partners to enhance the hotel's reputation and drive repeat business.
- Ensure that all Food and Beverage operations are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
- Develop and manage budgets, and work with the executive team to achieve financial goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHO YOU ARE
The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage management, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving operational efficiency. They should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a team. They should be detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively. A passion for Food and Beverage hospitality and a commitment to excellence are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage management, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving operational efficiency
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Food and Beverage management software
- A passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence.
- The ability to lift up to 15 pounds on a daily basis
- The ability to sit for 8 hours, or stand, walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach, and/or stretch for 1 hour
