Ridgeline Roofing & Restoration was founded in 2020.

Since our beginning, we have experienced tremendous growth. We are currently located in Huntsville, Nashville, Savannah, Atlanta, Birmingham & Melbourne with several other locations underway. We specialize in residential roofing; however, we are equally efficient in commercial roofing. That includes installation, replacement and repair.

Location:

  • Birmingham, Alabama (strongly preferred)
  • We are also considering candidates based in Ridgeline’s other locations; Huntsville, AL; Nashville, TN; Atlanta, GA; Savannah, GA; and Melbourne, FL

Job Summary:

The Director of Finance and Accounting is responsible for managing the company's finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting. The position objective is to protect and oversee the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and ensure sustainable growth. This is definitely a hands-on position with company-wide visibility reporting to the CEO.

Essential Functions:

The position requires someone well-versed in all aspects of financial management and Accounting with hands-on experience dealing with general/payroll accounting, and managing the banking relationship.

  • Report to and work directly with the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive team, the Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors to align financial resources to the programs, and the strategic plan.
  • Optimize accounting processes that will allow for timely and accurate monthly financial reporting (on a GAAP basis) for both external and internal purposes.
  • Ensure that financial resources support the mission of the company.
  • Effectively manage the company’s financial structure including banking and other creditor relationships to ensure growth objectives can be realized and sustained.
  • Manage the audit relationship with the organization’s public accounting firm.
  • Prepare reliable current financial statements and budgeting/forecasting reports including participation in and supervision of the monthly financial closings.
  • Analyze the financial details of past, present and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed.
  • Coordinate and direct the financial planning, budgeting, procurement or investment activities of the organization.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management and Accounting.
  • Direct completion of an annual external audit in accordance with law and Board policy and implement procedures for periodic internal audits of accounts and expenditures.
  • Direct, supervise and evaluate employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, and collections.
  • Lead staff training and development for all administrators in budgeting and financial management.
  • Develop consistent financial reporting to include monthly and yearly comparisons of expenditures, receipts, costs and other transactions to adequately communicate the financial state of the agency.

Education and Experience:

  • Demonstrable and successful experience as CFO, Corporate Controller or VP of Finance of a $50+ million revenue company
  • Minimum five (5) years progressively responsible professional experience in accounting, including experience with general ledger analysis/reconciliation and financial statement preparation and presentation; and exposure to automated accounting systems including general ledger and accounts payable.
  • Experience executing and integrating M&A
  • Experience in residential services a plus
  • Public accounting experience at national or large regional firm a plus
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-performing team in a multi-site structure to include professional development and mentorship.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of program planning, organizational structure, budgeting, administrative operations, and fundraising.
  • CPA licensure (even if inactive) a plus.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
