Role: Director of Finance
Contract type: Fulltime/ Direct Hire
Start pay :$126k/yr + scheduled increases
Position Summary
Responsible for the overall financial reporting process , directs the financial policies and enforcement the Standard Operating Procedures relative to the Accounting Department. Directs the operational functions of the Accounting Department. Designs and coordinates a wide variety of accounting and statistical data for financial reporting purposes. You will be supervising the Controller, Materials Manager, and Financial Analyst.
Major Responsibilities:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Eight (8) years' experience in an accounting, finance or related field including five (5) years in a Controller, Director or equivalent capacity within a casino or resort accounting department.
Preferred:
CPA license.
Licensing Status
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $126,000.00 per year

Position Summary

Major Responsibilities:
- Coordinate monthly financial statements, annual financial reports, audit activities, and other information reports and requests
- Establish and maintain that the Accounting Department complies with internal controls, standard operating procedures and regulations.
- Provide direction and assistance regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, implementation of new practices and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
- Oversee the return on investment for projects and their expenditures.
- Oversee the preparation of daily revenue and other financial reports and their comparison against budget and forecast projections and previous years' results.
- Coordinate with outside CPA firm and participates in the annual audit plan.
- Knowledge of casino and resort operations.
- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.
- Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources.
- Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and/or projections
- Ability to identify and secure alternative funding/revenue sources.
- A proven record of commitment and professionalism in meeting the challenges and pressures of a 24 hour, 7-day operation
Required:
