Job description

Develops and advocates the Corporation's policies and positions before members of Congress and other external lobbying/legislative organizations. Ensures that the Corporation's interests are represented and protected in legislative proceedings and in the development of Federal policies.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Administration and Congress.
  • Identify, develop and implement strategies to effectively advocate corporate positions at the Federal level.
  • Effectively communicate, coordinate and strategize on Federal policy positions/issues enterprise-wide, and integrate with local efforts.
  • Represent the Corporations and advocate its positions in Federal lobbying/policy organizations to ensure the Corporation's participation is consistent across these organizations and before members of Congress.
  • Contribute to shaping Federal policy and regulation in the best interest of the Corporation's stakeholders while ensuring compliance with existing regulations. Create value for the communities we serve.
  • Coordinate management of industry and other like-minded entities in coalitions and working groups to provide value to the Corporation’s four key stakeholders.

 

Minimum Requirements

Minimum experience and education required of the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of relevant work experience is required or, in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 11+ years of relevant work experience is required.
  • 12+ years of relevant work experience is a plus

 

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Working knowledge of tax and international trade policy

 

Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
