Director of Facilities

OMNI is honored to be retained by Woodside in their search for a Director of Facilitiesto be responsible for the overall management and oversight of Club facilities including building structures and maintenance, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, fire alarm and fire suppression systems, security systems, utilities and cleaning and sanitation.

Reporting to the General Manager, and leading a team of two, the Director of Facilities will:

• Lead strategic planning, direction and goal setting for the Facilities Department and recommend policies, procedures and best practices.
• Work directly with ownership & Senior management related to CAPEX, MEP and design projects. Develop and propose short & long-term facility CAPEX and expense budgets.
• Develop all daily and preventative maintenance schedules and ensure completion of all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual checklists.
• Oversee the overall functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, safety and security.
• Oversee the general maintenance, repairs & cleanliness of the indoor and outdoor facilities, including landscape, hardscape, fixtures, and equipment.
• Oversee proper indoor and outdoor pool services, including towel service, water service and pool water quality and chemical applications.
• Ensure execution of event(s) schedule in conjunction with Housekeeping and Maintenance team for set ups/tear down needs.
• Stay current on trends in the industry with regards to facility planning, maintenance/cleanliness and how facilities impact overall health and wellness – non-toxic supplies, indoor air quality, etc.
• Maintain and manage safety and regulatory issues associated with the indoor and outdoor facilities, including OSHA, SDS, Security, Fire Safety, Business Continuity and Pools.
• Provide oversight for service standards and guidelines by which vendors/contractors are held accountable, which includes written service plans, contract negotiations and vendor agreements.
• Create and maintain procedures and processes for overall security and emergency evacuation plans including training for all necessary staff to carry out such procedures when necessary.
• Coordinates with the General Manager & Controller to develop the comprehensive budget for the Facilities department; takes actions as necessary to help assure that budget goals are met.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management or Business Administration or some combination of equivalent experience; Facilities Management Professional or Certified Facilities Management designation preferred.
• Aquatics facilities operator certification (AFO) or Certified Pool Operator License (CPO) preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• 7-10 years’ experience working in pertinent facilities management. Health and Fitness operations experience preferred.
• Strong expertise in managing CAPEX projects, developing budgets and managing a P&L.
• General mechanical, electrical and/or engineering knowledge. General understanding of carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, landscaping and security.
• Proficiency with technology, specifically Microsoft Office products.
• Superior organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to emergency situations.
• Previous experience effectively managing maintenance staff members and contractors.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of security procedures and processes.
• Ability to work hours (beyond 45) during High Season (April-September).
