Clydes Restaurant Group is hiring a Director of Events to join our corporate team!


Clydes Restaurant Group is one of the nations most successful and enduring restaurant companies with 12 properties in the DMV area. We offer a diverse range of event experiences across our award-winning locations which include corporate events, weddings, and celebrations. Each venue has its own unique charm and capabilities, catering to intimate gatherings for groups of 10 as well as large-scale events for over 1100 guests.


Our locations include Clydes of Georgetown, Clydes of Chevy Chase, Clydes at Mark Center, Tower Oaks Lodge, Clydes of Gallery Place, Clydes Willow Creek Farm, Old Ebbitt Grill, The Tombs, 1789 Restaurant, Fitzgeralds, The Hamilton and The Hamilton Live. We are growing and plan to add three new restaurants with event space: Rye Street Tavern, Cordelia Fishbar, and Ebbitt House.


The Corporate Director of Events oversees and manages all event-related activities for the Clydes Restaurant Group, with a primary focus on ensuring successful event execution to achieve guest satisfaction and drive revenue growth.


This position offers the flexibility to work remotely 30% of the time with the rest spent at the corporate office or restaurants.

RESPONSIBILITIES: WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

  • Developing short- and long-term event sales growth strategies.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and event management technology.
  • Conducting market research to stay competitive in the events business.
  • Implementing initiatives to boost event bookings.
  • Monitoring regional events and potential revenue sources.
  • Optimizing usage of event spaces.
  • Establishing competitive minimums for event spaces.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and relevant data.
  • Managing restaurant event budgets and advising on financial matters.
  • Training and leading restaurant event managers.
  • Providing timely assistance and insights to Event Management team
  • Preparing reports
  • Fostering client and vendor relationships
  • Ensuring sales and marketing system compliance Triple Seat
  • Collaborating and assisting with recruitment, marketing and event menus and sourcing new platforms


QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CORPORATE DIRECTOR OF EVENTS

  • 5+ years of Event Sales Management experience
  • 5+ Experience with budgeting and forecasting sales and revenue
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with employees of other departments.
  • Organization, responsiveness, time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience.
  • Ability to analyze and understand budgets.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently (remotely) and as part of a team with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • A commitment to the Vision, Mission and Values of Clydes Restaurant Group.
  • Genuine desire to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner at all times.
  • Hospitality experience required.
