Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of Equity and Compliance, the Director of Equity andCompliance and Title IX Coordinator, assists with the processing of complaints, alleging discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. The Director conducts investigations and drafts investigative reports; provides oversight of policies, procedures, and programming; and provides training and education to the campus, to comply with federal and state laws, as well as university policies, prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct. As the university's Title IX Coordinator, provides university-wide oversight of policies, procedures, and programming related to Title IX; conducts outreach and investigations; and provides training and education to the campus community related to Title IX. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Equity and Compliance, assists faculty search chairs in the hiring of faculty and monitors the search process to ensure and equitable and legal outcome. The Director maintains appropriate summaries/data/reports in connection with the processing of complaints, as well as employee and student compliance with annual training requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Work experience in the investigation and resolution of complaints, including the drafting of investigative reports, alleging discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and sexual assault, and/or employee misconduct.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Title IX, Clery Act, and EEO federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, inclusion, and Compliance in higher education, as well as experience working with diverse populations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor.
  • Title IX Training Certification.
  • Experience working in a union environmen

The anticipated starting salary for this position is $80,000 - 84,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
