Position Overview: The Director of Enterprise Risk Management will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our company's Risk Management framework. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Risk Management principles, financial analysis, and strategic planning. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Lead efforts to identify and assess potential risks associated with business operations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of operational, financial, and strategic risks.
- Risk Mitigation and Strategy:
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Provide guidance on risk reduction initiatives to promote a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
- Policy Development:
- Develop and update Risk Management policies and procedures to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure effective communication and training on Risk Management policies throughout the organization.
- Financial Analysis:
- Utilize financial analysis and modeling to assess the impact of potential risks on the company's financial performance.
- Work closely with finance teams to integrate risk considerations into financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on Risk Management activities for senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Communicate complex risk concepts in a clear and concise manner to facilitate informed decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of blended experience in Risk Management and finance, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to Risk Management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
