Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture

About the role:
Like a grand orchestra conductor, you'll have your fingers on the pulse of all technology portfolios which touch every aspect of Sephora's business. Your success will be gauged by how well your leadership and influence are recognized by team members, peer leaders, executive management and business owners. This type of success ensures the Company will meet its unprecedented growth goals. And you'll accomplish this by:

• Building, mentoring, coaching, and guiding a cadre of top architects to perform the best work of their careers.
• Guiding and directing the entire technology strategy, standards, and guidelines for the success of organizational and efficiency
• Maturing all architectural domains – business, applications, data, infrastructure, privacy, security – across portfolios
• Creating an Architecture "community of practice” to promote best practices and embed them in the Sephora technology fabric
• Evangelizing new technology and architectural visions for Sephora's business owners

Our ideal candidate is a top-notch architect and leader with a diverse background in fast-moving companies, along with:

• 15+ years of experience rising through the ranks of software engineering and architecture
• 5+ years leading/managing engineering teams focused on architecture and the introduction, scaling, and maintaining new technologies
• Broad retail experience including e-commerce, retail stores, marketing, supply chain, merchandising, finance, HR, Internal facing technologies, etc.
• Being an influential leader who has repeatedly built and nurtured top-notch teams
• Experience scaling a highly efficient architecture team to reach a higher level of maturity and effectiveness
• A collaborative, apolitical, high initiative, driven leader who gets amazing results by fostering a healthy, happy workplace.
