We are looking for a Head of Enterprise Architect to help Myriad Genetics, Inc. deliver innovative products that allow patients to make life-changing decisions. Our genetic screening and testing help provide actionable insights to empower people to make critical and timely healthcare decisions by using molecular diagnostic tests for hereditary cancer, urological cancer, depression, and other diseases. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of Myriad, leading the direction on integrated system solutions and evangelizing their importance not just within the technology department but across all levels of leadership within Myriad. Reporting directly to the VP Technology Strategy and Execution, you will be responsible for defining and implementing strategic initiatives that drive innovation, efficiency, and scalability across our Enterprise Architecture.
Visionary leader who defines the IT blueprint for the organization, ensuring alignment with business strategy and eliminating technology silos.
Oversees development, design, and adherence to architectural standards and roadmaps.
Assesses new technologies and articulates the transition from current to future state within product area, striking balance between standardization, customization, innovation, costs, and risk management.
Collaborates with rest of Architecture team and communicate with the business to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
Responsibility
- Leadership in developing and maintaining a future-proof Enterprise Architecture strategy.
- Create integrated architecture roadmap within specific business or technical areas for all technology and applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to grasp their needs and goals, then adeptly translate and solve problems with technology solutions.
- Share and communicate enterprise architectural plans and strategies with stakeholders, management, domain and solutions architects, and technology teams.
- Lead the rationalization of legacy systems and applications with leading industry best practice architecture and design.
- Provide guidance/input to solutions architects and project teams to ensure technology solutions being delivered are consistent with overall technical guidelines.
- Guide the integration of new AWS cloud, Salesforce, and other SaaS technologies with existing infrastructure and custom developed full stack software applications
- Ensure architecture standards/principles are incorporated into all technology initiatives.
- Assist in elaboration of business cases which include relevant technology implications, particularly in cross-product or tech-debt situations.
- Develop and lead networks of business and technology leaders to collect knowledge of the practices of similar organizations and their strategies.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technology with 5+ years in architectural work.
- Proven track record leading Enterprise Architecture initiatives in a large organization with experience navigating technical debt from M&A.
- Experience working as part of architectural forum to influence adherence to architectural standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge in tech architecture and its implications for the business and communicate the knowledge effectively.
- Deep understanding of modern architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Possess the broad expertise to integrate the technical vision for the technology organization, integrating across technologies, systems, and organizations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.
- Previous experience with project management and visualization tools such as JIRA and Lucid preferred
- Demonstrated experience building technology solutions in a regulated environment such as healthcare, banking, or government is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
