Job description

The Director of eCommerce is the primary photography production team leader managing producers, styling, merchandise management and post producers for multiple client accounts for Industrial Color based onsite in our Tribeca Studio.
They are the Team Lead for day-to-day Production, with the opportunity to personally produce Special Projects for assigned clients in the studios and on location. The Director of eCommerce will lead the photography team managing scheduling resources, booking talent, coordinating shoots, managing client relations, project management, retouching, editing and final deliverables and physical inventory databases. The right candidate has a keen understanding of eCommerce photography production with a scalable approach to be able to partner with clients on their evolving content needs. They are client focused, team builder, loves production, career driven, able to manage multiple projects at once, possesses exceptional interpersonal skills and is a team player. They are experts at complex budgeting long production commitments.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage team of Producers, Merch Managers, Post-Production Management and Styling Team
  • Lead the team for best production practices
  • Support new clients with onboarding and efficient workflows
  • Work in tandem with internal and clients creative teams to deliver on the creative ask
  • Scheduling internal and external resources to ensure clients objectives are completed on time and on budget.
  • Prepare estimates for clients and final invoicing / reconcile and submit all resource and talent invoices
  • Work on creating and developing large scale production budgets.
  • Manage and manipulate databases and workflow applications that will track inbound, in progress and completed work requests.
  • Versed in working across multiple systems (including Google Sheets, Excel and globaledit) to create reports detailing workload, production status and resource allocation.
  • Owns communication and distributes priority requests for production and post-production.
  • Create and track expenses against budget for all accounts.
  • Maintain products inventory control systems that electronically track status of all physical samples that flow through the department, in partnership with Merchandise Management
  • Collaborating with inter and intra-departmental team members to complete both short and long term projects on time and on budget.

Requirements
  • At Least 10 Years eCommerce Photography/Video Production, with 5 years of eCommerce ideally with experience in both PDP and Digital Content
  • Experience managing at least 5 direct reports
  • Strong organization skills with ability to work with internal and external clients of all levels (front line to C-Suite)
  • Self-starter with a hunger for efficiencies, ongoing improvement and account growth
  • Ability to organize time and meet deadlines, manage workflow, and prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work at the studio 5 days a week

Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 annually. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
