Who we need:
As the Director of Due Diligence, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and selecting hedge fund managers for inclusion in our portfolio. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of investment strategies, risk management, and market dynamics. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Due Diligence process, ensure the integrity of our investment decisions and contribute to the firm's growth and success.
What you'll do:
- Lead the Due Diligence process on potential hedge fund manager candidates for our new Seeding Program.
- Evaluate investment strategies, risk management processes, and overall fund performance.
- Analyze financial statements, legal documentation, and operational infrastructure.
- Assess and quantify various risks associated with potential fund managers.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies and recommendations for the investment committee.
- Cultivate relationships with hedge fund managers, industry experts, and service providers.
- Attend industry conferences and events to stay informed about market trends and emerging opportunities.
- Work closely with the investment team and compliance to align Due Diligence findings with the firm's overall investment strategy.
- Provide input and insights during investment committee meetings.
- Prepare comprehensive Due Diligence reports for presentation to the investment committee.
- Clearly communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master's or CFA preferred).
- Proven experience in Due Diligence within the hedge fund industry.
- Experience evaluating emerging hedge fund managers and seeding emerging managers is preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.

- The estimated base salary for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 with additional incentives including bonus and equity.
