Essential Job Functions
- Contract reviews and execution
- Bid preparation and negotiation
- Managing estimates, estimated costs/revenue, work in progress (WIP), job performance, employee performance, crew performance, equipment utilization, income statements, and budgets
- Establish high level design requirements and planning policies and procedures
- Active searching for new market opportunities, meeting with potential/existing customers to retain and acquire new business opportunities, promote new technologies, products, and services
- Attend networking events to remain knowledgeable on market trends
- Ability to identify and develop training programs/certifications to facilitate employee development
- Knowledge and understanding of Arizona Boundary Survey Minimum Standards
- Ability to review/write Survey Legal Descriptions
- Negotiate subcontractor master service agreements and ensure conformance with company standards
- Scheduling
- Review of job costs, time records and profitability of projects
- Preparation of change orders as needed
- Maintain complete job files to include cost estimates, scope of work, correspondence, approved permits, as-builts, and any other pertinent information for the project
- Development and modification of procedures and workflows as required
- Adherence to industry, contract and legal standards of design
- Project completion within timeframes and on budget
- Provide timely close-out documentation for projects
- Submit customer billing information in a timely manner
- Review and approve vendor invoices in a timely manner
- Develop and monitor quality procedures
- Planning and managing all phases of the bid process and contract negotiation through the completion of the work
- Strategic planning including forecasting and implementing growth strategies
Skills and Abilities
- Superior knowledge and experience with telecom construction practices, policies and procedures
- Possess strong attention to detail to perform duties within quality control standards
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects and priorities
- Excellent leadership and human resources management skills to allocate resources efficiently and effectively
- Possess critical thinking and analytic skills to plan projects, assign human resources, optimize financial results, and minimize safety issues
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the Company and its subsidiaries
- Experience in HCSS bid and job cost products preferred, but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project)
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Civil Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Arizona is preferred, not required
- 10 years of proven work experience in Telecommunication or Civil Design
