$225,000-250,000 base salary + bonus + equity

Harnham is exclusively partnered with one of the top financial firms in the US. They are a storied leader in their domain and are looking for a player/coach to head up a rapidly growing team. You'll partner with business stakeholders and executives and manage projects. This person will sit in their CoE Data Science team and have an impact across the business.

THE ROLE

• Manage commercial projects across design and measurement (A/B test), multi-arm bandits, causal inference, forecasting and prediction
• Report directly to the Chief Data Scientist and partner on technical and strategic direction
• Oversee implementation and design of ML and statistical code and build out to production with access to petabytes of Data
• Collaborate with departments across the commercial side of the business
• Partner extensively with internal business leaders
• Manage a fast growing DS team

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Director of Data Science will likely have the following skills and experience:

• Experience managing projects which directly impact business direction
• History using Python or R for predictive modeling and data manipulation
• Commercial experience building machine learning models in production settings
• Prior experience guiding business-critical projects
• History of using financial, accounting, marketing, customer or product data
• Team management experience required
• Proven ability to communicate and present to non-technical audiences
• Experience with analyzing datasets is a plus
• Neural network experience a plus
• PhD/MS in Computer Science, Statistics or other STEM related field
• Machine Learning expertise required; Deep Learning or Natural Language Processing experience a plus

THE BENEFITS

A competitive base salary of $225,000-250,000 + bonus + equity
