We’re seeking a Director of Customer Marketing (Retention, Lifecycle, CRM) to join our team located in Brooklyn. Reporting to our VP of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our CRM program, driving innovative customer engagement initiatives, and ultimately fueling business expansion.

Responsibilities:
Craft CRM Strategy: Develop and execute retention marketing strategies across email, direct mail, SMS, and loyalty programs. Formulate communication and retention plans to captivate, retain, and foster customer loyalty. Supervise and enhance email, direct mail, and digital marketing campaigns targeting existing customers, while exploring avenues for growth. Identify gaps in the customer journey and devise solutions within relevant marketing channels. Analyze and optimize customer segments engaged through various touchpoints, identifying areas for improvement. Marketing Campaign Oversight: Lead the planning and execution of email marketing campaigns and automations (triggered emails). Collaborate closely with merchandising and marketing teams to establish the marketing calendar. Track campaign performance against company financial objectives. Partner with the Creative team to develop campaign content and briefs. Manage email automation flows and creative assets (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart emails). Oversee end-to-end SMS touchpoints, messaging, and segmentation. Database Management: Supervise the overall health, development, maintenance, and reporting of the email database to ensure stakeholders are informed of business performance. Customer Data Platform Roadmap: Develop and implement the roadmap for the Customer Data Platform to align with organizational goals and enhance the customer experience. Market Trend Analysis: Stay informed about the competitive landscape and market trends to drive new messaging, channels, and innovative strategies. Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership to our team of three retention and email marketers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Merchandising, Creative, and Marketing teams to implement new strategies and streamline processes.

Qualifications:
Experience: Over 10 years of experience in retention marketing. At least 3 years of leadership experience. Previous experience in a consumer brand environment emphasizing emotional connection in storytelling. Expertise: Proficiency in email, direct mail, paid social, and loyalty programs. Proven ability to lead the strategic vision of a comprehensive CRM program. Experience in customer segmentation. Skills: Thorough understanding of marketing landscape, CRM tools, and CDP platforms. Proficient in Excel. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker, and Heap. Approach: Collaborative, data-driven, action-oriented, and customer-centric mindset.
Compensation & Benefits:
We offer a competitive total compensation package based on specific market data, considering factors such as company size, stage, industry, and location. .
