The Director of Continuous Improvement/Manufacturing will oversee the day-to-day operations and spearhead the continuous improvement initiative at our Phoenix manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency in manufacturing, optimizing the flow of products and warehouse operations, and structuring both manufacturing and warehouse processes.
The preferred candidate should possess extensive experience in fostering a culture of Continuous improvement using Lean tools, systems, and methodologies, with a focus on Value Stream Transformation and the execution of Kaizen events. We seek an individual who is strategic, operationally proficient, and dedicated to the development of people.
Director of Continuous Improvement/ManufacturingKey Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a culture of accountability and results through effective performance management.
- Attain world-class on-time delivery and quality performance for our customer base.
- Support the development, implementation, and assessment of successful cost reduction plans.
- Ensure key performance indicators (revenue, gross margin, DPPM, OTD) are met or exceeded.
- Actively participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring new processes are implemented.
- Identify performance gaps using data and prior Lean deployment experience; collaborate with department leaders on improvement plans.
- Facilitate impactful improvements using continuous improvement tools, Kaizen processes, and systems for safety, quality, efficiency, cost, delivery, waste reduction, and morale enhancement.
- Utilize a structured problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions and deploy appropriate Lean tools.
- Lead and coach Kaizen events through hands-on participation.
- Train teams in CI concepts and philosophy.
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of manufacturing employees, with a focus on leadership.
- Ensure a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with regulations.
- Weekly travel to our Mexico facility, which is on the border and a 3-hour drive from Phoenix, is required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering. Relevant experience considered in place of a degree.
- At least five years of experience in industrial management.

- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
- Preference for bilingual (English and Spanish) candidates.
Salary: $115,000.00 – $135,000.00
