Director of Compliance: Leading Ethical Excellence

What You’ll Be Doing:

As the Director of Compliance, you will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our compliance program, collaborating with executive leadership to mitigate risk and promote a culture of integrity and accountability. We are seeking an individual who embodies our values of trustworthiness, collaboration, mission-mindedness, respect, and vision. Here are some key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Compliance Leadership: Develop, initiate, and maintain a proactive compliance program to uphold company integrity and mitigate risk. Collaborate with executive leadership to design and implement company-wide compliance strategies aligned with the organization's mission and values.
  • Audit and Monitoring: Plan, develop, and execute internal audits, reviews, and assessments to evaluate internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Prepare comprehensive reports on audit findings and recommend improvements and corrective actions.
  • Investigation and Resolution: Oversee the internal investigation process for violations or suspected violations, including HIPAA breaches, fraud allegations, and ethical misconduct. Work closely with the Board of Directors to investigate and resolve compliance concerns, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Policy Development and Training: Review and update the Compliance Program and related policies annually to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees, affiliates, and board members, fostering a culture of Compliance and awareness.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular summary reports of Compliance activities, concerns, and trends to the Compliance Committee, Senior Leadership, and the Board of Directors. Communicate significant compliance issues directly to the CEO and, when necessary, request executive sessions with the Board.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with other department leaders to address compliance-related issues and high-risk areas. Provide consultation and guidance on compliance matters, supporting the organization's commitment to regulatory compliance and ethical conduct.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master’s degree preferred in business, finance, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in developing, implementing, or leading compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience with audit procedures, investigations, and policy development.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and adapt to a dynamic regulatory environment.

Pay: $69,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
