About Evermore 

Evermore Orlando Resort is an innovative 1,100-acre resort adjacent to Walt Disney World® featuring centrally owned upscale and upsized vacation rental homes, flats & villas, a luxury Conrad hotel, 36 holes of world-class Jack Nicklaus golf, and a massive 20-acre tropical beach complex around Evermore Bay, our 8-acre crystalline water amenity by Crystal Lagoons®. The surrounding beach areas feature zero-entry swim areas, bars, cabanas, private firepits, a lively food hall & gourmet market, a casual dining restaurant, and an event Boathouse that will provide a picture-perfect backdrop for weddings, banquets, and corporate meetings. Evermore is building a team that will bring these experiences to life and is seeking individuals who want the challenge of building this exciting resort experience.  

 Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the banquets & catering operations at Evermore which consists of The Executive Meeting Center, The Boathouse, Outdoor Events as well as other venues as developed.
  • Lead the banquets team, including personnel, operations, menus, and budget.
  • Effective in resolving guest issues and concerns, through immediate solutions, by ensuring the highest customer service delivery and productivity levels.
  • Lead creation and implementation of banquet menus, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, breaks, holidays, weddings, and other special events.
  • Inventory and maintain the quality of banquet equipment and smallware’s.
  • Plan and direct events, market ideas to promote business and other activities.
  • Ensure food standards are adhered to, including time, temperature, and sanitation.
  • Responsible for all internal accounting functions relatable to billing, accounts receivable, purchasing and forecast and budgeting.
  • Stay up to date on trends in the catering industry for benchmarking.
  • Lead and manage people’s functions, including coaching, counseling recognition, and performance.
  • Provide specific directions and expectations to the banquets team.
  • Prepare a timely staff schedule with a focus on overtime.
  • Manage staff time & attendance, prepare timely schedules while managing PTO requests.
  • Train, develop and maintain Team Member skills and relations.
  • Recruit and hire banquets staff based on business demands and budget guidelines.
  • Communicate the business need for temp staff requirements in advance.
  • Conduct 90-day & annual staff performance reviews.
  • Be a visible leader in the operation, taking time to review operations, ensure food quality, and interact with guests and Team Members
  • Manage staffing and training in conjunction with human resources, including hiring and training.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers.
  • Ensure all safety and security protocols are monitored; staff is properly trained, routinely inspected, and adhered to daily.
  • Develop and adhere to the annual budget, including payroll, expenses, and capital.
  • Ensure operations run efficiently daily while managing long-term project planning.
  • Enforce all applicable health department rules and regulations with safety as a priority.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience: 

  • 4 year degree or equivalent management experience working in the banquets & catering field.
  • 5+ years of banquets experience in high-volume resort or catering venue.
  • Resort opening experience is desired.
  • Accounting proficiency required including monthly financials, audits, payroll, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Attention to detail, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Inspired to always lead Evermore brand and team member values.
  • Capable of working scheduled hours, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Capable of performing  a variety of roles in a busy work environment
  • Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines/instructions in English.

Physical Requirements: 

  •  Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and/or reach repeatedly.
  •  Able to safely lift, pull and push over 40 pounds.
  •  Able to be on your feet and move around for long periods at a time.
  •  Manual dexterity of hand to use all kitchen equipment.
  •  Ability to perform duties with varying temperature ranges.
