JOB SUMMARY
Performs a mixture of accounting and financial related functions aimed at providing the timely and accurate recording of the Universitys financial transactions, and to assist the Comptroller in managing the activities of the Business Office operations.
CLASSIFICATION
This position is classified as regular, full-time
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares daily deposits.
Manages banking transactions including Federal funds drawdowns.
Post journal entries and gift receipts.
Supervises payroll processes and coordinates electronic filing of taxes
Prepares quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, including W-2s, 1099s, etc.
Prepares sales tax, Escheat tax, and other reports as necessary.
Assists with annual workmans compensation audits
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Perform other functions and duties as requested by the Comptroller or Business VP.
Assist with registration.

The Director for Business Services must possess specific areas of knowledge, skill, and ability to be able to explain and/or demonstrate he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some combination of skills and abilities. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelors Degree required, accounting degree preferred.
- 4-5 years experience in an accounting environment.
- Ability to coordinate various projects simultaneously.
- Ability to negotiate on behalf of the University
- Ability to delegate work to others.
- Interpersonal skills, strong oral, adequate written
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks without supervision.
