Position Overview
The Director of Business Development - Global is responsible for the organizational and operations of ArcVera Renewables' Business Development functions including sales management and marketing. With the guiding purpose of nurturing and growing the company’s gross revenue and net income, the Director of Business Development - Global leads both domestic US and international Business Development activities of the organization; developing and driving ArcVera’s success and growth with a focus on global territory expansions, new renewable energy technical service categories, and managing a top performing Business Development team focused on the development of new and existing ArcVera client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
● Overall management of all strategic and operational marketing and customer relationship activities.
● Is the evangelizing champion of the customer relationship management (CRM) platform; owns account development and management processes and client relationship success.
● Orchestrates the creation and ongoing development and management of a professional global Business Development team consisting of technical subject matter experts who are also responsible for Business Development objectives and goals.
● Participates in company strategic planning initiatives and providing market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs, and generating Business Development ideas.
● Initiates new or modified product ideas and pricing strategies, including e-commerce. Internally manages teams to develop plans to expand new and existing service categories.
● Travel:
- The person in this position will travel ~25% (12 weeks per year) to attend trade events, and visit with clients and prospects;
- The majority of travel will be domestic, with some primacy if the East Coast/NYC corridor to work in the finance industry as required;
- International travel will be required from time to time and as needed as the global Business Development and sales team is built.
● Management of the Business Development and marketing functions of the business.
● Responsibilities include team development and the annual review and goal setting for assigned Business Development and marketing personnel reports.
● Establishes and maintains key performance indicators for the business, e.g., analysis of opportunity win/loss data and other performance data metrics including arcvera.com website traffic using Google Analytics.
● Develops marketing initiatives including targeted ad campaigns using effective online professional social media channels such as LinkedIn and cost-effective trade media channels.
● Develops and manages productive, cost-effective professional relationships with third-party marketing support vendors (e.g., public relations firms, copywriters, web graphic designers) to execute marketing project initiatives such as website content, press releases, marketing collateral, and exhibition display materials.
● Develops and coordinates trade event marketing and is responsible for all aspects of trade events including budget and team coordination, in-person meeting outreach, client and prospect outreach, event meeting scheduling, and postmortem follow-up organization.
● Works independently and with teams; initiates and maintains regular information exchange and interaction with senior leadership; incorporates senior leadership in Business Development, as needed.
● Working with Company leadership, defining and managing annual Business Development budgets.
● Drive revenue and profit growth to achieve the Company's growth targets of at least matching and better exceeding global wind and solar energy growth rates as reported by the Global Wind Energy Council and other trade and industry information sources (e.g., Solar Energy Industries Association, Wood-Mackenzie, etc.).
● Plans and coordinates the implementation of Business plans to drive service categories development and the penetration of new markets.
Qualifications
● Experience in working with senior management to align Business Development strategies and solutions.
● Advanced written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
● Strong knowledge of the purpose and experience using common customer relationship management platforms.
● Advanced ability to analyze internal and external market information using Excel or Google spreadsheet tools; develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor company performance.
● Experience with identifying, defining and improving mission-critical processes to support team-based client account development and management.
● Must have experience in working remotely and visiting clients in a corporate, business-focused environment.
● Excellent negotiation skills, proven track record of successfully pitching for new business.
● Ability to lead the global Business Development team.
● Develop and manage processes that support a rapid (generally day-of and under 24-hour response) to the inbound client and prospective client interest.
● Proven track record of increasing revenue through lead generation tactics and driving forward new account development.

Key Performance Indicators
● Drive revenue growth achieving year over year revenue growth commensurate or better exceeding annual industry growth rates.
● Execute a volume of marketing initiatives, including targeted ad campaigns using trade media and professional social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
● Develops new content for arcvera.com website responds to specific strategies - monitors and reports on website visitor traffic using Google Analytics.
● Practices continuous improvement initiatives; identifies and defines repeatable processes to build best practices and efficiencies in the organization.
● Schedules a volume of regular meetings with clients and prospects to maintain existing and build new customer relationships.
● Increases volume of active clients to drive growth; lands strategic account development opportunities.
● Maintain and complete yearly updates to the ArcVera Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and a subset of category-specific services’ marketing collateral.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
