Position Purpose:
This position will be responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs. This position provides excellent
customer service to internal and external stakeholders and implements benefit plans for the organization. The Total Rewards Assistant Director
continually investigates new benefit programs, improves existing programs and supervises and monitors benefits administration.
Primary Duties:
• Serves as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators
• Serves as primary contact for HR related Insurance Benefits Brokerage firm
• Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration
• Evaluates and revises internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency
• Documents and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes
• Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees
• Coordinates daily benefits processing: Handles enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death
claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing
• Oversees maintenance of employee benefit files, maintains group benefits databases and updates employee payroll records
• Gathers employee data and oversees the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees
for all group plans
• Audits the accuracy and performance of functions performed by benefits staff
• Provides daily oversight and management for benefits staff to include performance and time management
• Provides customer service support to internal and external customers.
• Develops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package.
• Designs and distributes materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provides training and support
to VersAbility employees regarding benefit plans.
• Performs benefits administration
• Responsible for integrity of data in the HRIS Benefits Administration system
• Engages in special projects and implementations in order to continuously improve the benefits department functionality and the benefits
offered by VersAbility
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree and five to seven years of HR or Benefits based experience, or a master's degree in HR management or MBA and four
years of experience in the HR field.
Preferred Education and Experience
Masters' degree in human resources or related field
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or HRCI equivalent
Ten to fifteen years of human resource experience
2+ years of benefit administration experience strongly preferred

Environmental:
Typically this job requires extended periods of sitting. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items
such as papers, books, etc. These tasks are required less than 20% of the time. No special physical demands are required to perform the
