Summary: The Director of Behavioral Support Services will coordinate Behavioral Supports for all Bridgewell day and residential programs and provide supervision to Bridgewell's Behaviorists.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours)
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Hire, train and supervise Bridgewell's day and residential Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Behavior Specialists as well as Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) as needed.
  2. Provide trainings to Bridgewell staff on the implementation of Behavior Support Plans and other behavioral documents and processes.
  3. Participate in the referral process for both Day and Residential programs.
  4. Participate in bi-weekly Sovner Center/START Clinical Services team meetings as well as Bridgewell's Clinical Risk Team Meetings to provide behavioral input on client cases.
  5. Participate as a member of the Universal Team.
  6. Participate in all other relevant meetings within Bridgewell and with external agencies.
  7. Create an environment that fosters regular communication and collaboration between behavioral staff and Day and Residential Managers and Directors.
  8. Communicate with the VP of Behavioral Health and participate in regularly scheduled supervision meetings.
  9. Develop policies and procedures related to the provision of Behavioral Support Services.
  10. Conduct annual performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  11. Provide regular coaching and feedback to direct reports to strengthen skills and performance and ensure employee engagement and recognition.
  12. Create an environment within their team that supports Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging based on Bridgewell's DEIB statement and initiatives.
  13. Act as a Behaviorist, as needed, based on Residential/Day Behaviorist staffing and programmatic needs. Provide behavioral consultation to Residential and Day program staff as needed.
  14. Provide supervision to interns as necessary.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
  1. Master's degree in psychology or related field is required.
  2. Must have at least five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  3. Must have at least 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
  4. Must have a current Board-Certified Behavior Analysts Certification.
  5. Must have a current driver's license.

Knowledge/Skills
  1. Excellent clinical, supervisory and leadership skills.
  2. Knowledge of DDS regulations, and CARF standards.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of crisis and behavior management concepts and techniques.
  4. Strong understanding of issues related to human rights.
  5. Excellent organizational problem solving and communication skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to develop and foster positive relationships with funding sources.
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  2. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

The employee must be able to drive a vehicle.
