Until FilledThe East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students - public, charter, and home-schooled - and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.
Applications are being accepted for the position of Director ofNursing Programs with the East Valley Institute of Technology.The beginning salary range is $93,380 - $115,000 dependent upon preparation and like experience. The anticipated start date for this position is November 13, 2023.
Job Summary: Under general supervision the Nursing Instructor will perform a variety of routine duties, as needed, to teach health occupations to students from different backgrounds, ethnicity, nationalities, gender, ages, religions, or disabilities in the classroom and in the lab, using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures and demonstrations and using audiovisual and technological aids to supplement the presentations
Qualifications:
- Master's degree with a major in nursing.
- 3 consecutive years working as a registered nurse providing direct patient care AND one academic year of full-time experience teaching in or administering a nursing education program leading to licensure.
- Holds a current Arizona registered nurse license in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona under A.R.S., Title 32, and Chapter 15
- Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.
