As the Director of the Acquisition Marketing Department, you’ll be tasked with spearheading Darkroom’s efforts to capture high-value customers for our clients through cutting-edge meeting buying, acquisition finance, and performance creative optimization.

We are looking for a highly-experienced acquisition leader who can build out proven best-in-class acquisition processes and training for our team, while frequently zooming-in on client accounts to help accelerate results.

This is a fully remote role, and is open to candidates in the state(s) of California, Pennsylvania, New York, Utah, or Colorado, and must have the right to work within the United States.

What you'll do:
  • Manage our Customer Acquisition team, which is comprised of director, service-manager, and service-associate level employees (our Customer Acquisition team is responsible for creative strategy, budget allocation, KPI pacing, media buying, and content creator facilitation)

    • Meet with direct reports weekly to review client account performance, relieve bottlenecks, provide mentorship, and review employee performance

    • Step into client account issues or challenges that arise to provide support to direct reports

    • Consistently plan and carry out the up-leveling of our Acquisition team with department-specific trainings, process, etc.

  • In addition to team management, you will be assigned between 1-3 client accounts which come along with the following responsibilities:

    • Plan and innovative paid media programs for brand and series marketing (with the digital marketing team) to ensure development as well as execution align with overall campaign objectives

    • Develop strategies and campaigns where all marketing channels are working together and be able to clearly articulate overall themes as well as trends across the paid media plan

    • You’ll need to deeply understand customer personas, creative that resonates with them as well as every metric that drives campaign performance

    • Build strong relationships with client counterparts and manage day-to-day relationships including strategic oversight and overall problem-solving/troubleshooting

    • Oversee a team handling execution, including building campaigns, setting up ads, campaign pacing, tagging, tracking, and QA

    • Execute and optimize paid search and social campaigns across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) including audience planning, retargeting, sequential messaging, reach, frequency and A/B tactics

    • Recommend creative executions using new and best-performing ad products

    • Work with the insights, analysis and programmatic teams to measure and attribute campaign success with business KPIs

    • Prepare post-campaign analysis for, and present to, cross-functional teams and directors

    • Develop briefs for platform partners and manage RFP process

    • Ad hoc reporting

What you'll need to be successful:
  • 8+ years of Paid Social experience with a minimum of 4 years E-Commerce Paid Social experience.

  • Prior experience leading a Paid Social department with P&L responsibility.

  • 5+ years of experience managing client relationships.

  • Strong communication and project management skills.

  • Know the entire Acquisition Marketing landscape, and have a perspective on how to build world-class campaigns in today’s changing landscape – this includes knowledge of the tools to use, running effective campaigns, the metrics to measure, and the proper attribution methodologies

  • An energetic people person with an eagerness to deliver an exceptional client experience at every stage.

  • Immaculate communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to convey complex technical information in a clear manner.

  • Experienced communicating with C-level executives and small-business stakeholders

  • Experience working with Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, Quora, Tik Tok, Snap, Linkedin, ClickUp, Motion, and third-party attribution tools
