The Director of Marketplace Management is a gifted people leader and ecommerce marketplace expert responsible for coaching and developing their team while maximizing the performance of our marketplace channels. This director will collaborate with a number of internal teams like merchandising, retail operations, advertising and finance, as well as external marketplace partners to meet their goals. Ideal candidates will have had experience managing an ecommerce marketplace, working as an ecommerce seller, or managing accounts in an ecommerce accelerator or platform.
How you will achieve success:
    • Lead a team of Marketplace Managers focused on Existing Marketplaces (e.g. Amazon, Walmart.com, Target Plus, eBay), Dropship Marketplaces, or International Marketplaces. 
    • Responsible for the channel P&L in their area. They continually drive financial awareness and improvement while driving automation and process improvement in the management of all channels.  
    • Drive the development of operational and strategic relationships with their Marketplace partners while collaborating with our internal marketplace merchandising team to develop merchandising plans that roll up to larger revenue targets.  
    • Focuses on a forward, strategic, mindset of hedging risks and accelerating growth opportunities for their Marketplace, this includes partnering with the software and technology team and reporting teams to persistently better our operational systems and reporting structure for effectiveness and efficiency.  
    • Partner with the merchandising and retail ops teams to strategically position our assortment and pricing for growth across all channels. This includes setting promotion and marketing targets for each marketplace and working with marketplace managers to execute the plan. You will also develop and mentor the team with transparency and vulnerability to build team trust, foster ownership, and invest in each team members' growth in leadership. 

What experiences will help you in this role:
    • 7+ years experience leading people.
    • 7+ years managing ecommerce channels.
    • P&L management experience.
    • Business development experience.
    • Extensive negotiation experience.
