Job Description
Overview:
- Lead monitoring of progress and execution of Last Mile Strategy and Delivery goals and priorities.
- Drive cross-functional alignment for Last Mile Operations as part of Project Lumina 10-year initiatives.
- Ensure successful move to Omnitracs (OT1) and continuous improvement on metrics over the next 3 years.
- Stand up National / Regional routing support centers.
- Create re-routing process with regional routing support centers to build sustainable on-going ways to improve service and reduce costs.
- Lead a team of technical experts in all areas of outbound logistics including routing, Velocitor, Lytx, etc.
- Demonstrates thought leadership by advising senior leadership.
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Build meaningful relationships and influence beyond direct reports.
- Influence our long-term strategy and support the execution for all areas that impact Last Mile.
- Develop tools, reports, and analysis from multiple data sources, that are easy to access, understand, use, track results and impact the business. This includes finding and sharing best practices and getting traction on a national scale.
- Build strong relationships nationally in the SCO organization as well as with key functional and corporate internal teams, creating pathways for collaboration, consistency, efficiencies, while finding savings that impact the business.
- Build tools that enable fact-based metrics on Last Mile Operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits business and comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee manual.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required) & MBA or similar master’s degree. (preferred but not required)
- 10+ years of overall work experience is required.
- Hands-on experience working in a supply chain operations or adjacent function is strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with all levels of the organization from hourly workers to senior leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, analytical/problem solving, problem management skills.
- Excellent presentation development and delivery skills.
- Experience in CPG or distribution industry is strongly preferred.
- Travel: Up to 25%.

- Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs.
