I. Job Title: Director, Information Technology

The YWCA GLA is a women's membership movement whose mission is empowering women and eliminating racism. YWCA GLA staff are expected to promote this mission and cultivate membership for the Association.
III. Objective of Position:
As the Director of IT, the incumbent will manage and direct the YWCA;s Information Technology (IT) operations by direct supervision of development and implementation of systems and programs to meet the needs in a cost effective and timely manner, including budget development and adherence. Manages all Information Technology functions including systems applications and development, data base administration, financial systems, desktop support, website maintenance, intra and inter networks, and internal communications systems. Oversees purchase of new computer hardware and software. Ensures maintenance of a database for the organization, including Programs, Finance, Fund Development, Human Resources and Administration.
IV. Statement of Duties
- Lead development and implementation processes of the organization's IT systems and department, including managing the operations and support of computer networks and systems
- Oversee the management of all network and physical security solutions, such as firewalls, anti-virus software and intrusion detection systems
- Develop and implements business protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in emergencies or data loss
- Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvements of IT infrastructures
- Oversee the maintenance of the system's security, networks and all information systems. will ensure the monitoring and testing of network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports
- Coordinate multisite IT systems by ensuring optimum productivity and cost management
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure emergencies as well as off-hour maintenance
- Liaise with vendor representatives regarding hardware repair, procurement of supplies and off-site storage
- Manage the development and execution of an automation-training plan to ensure effective utilization of installed data processing, office automation and data communications programs
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, security and disaster recovery

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, programming or a closely related field. Master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of progressively increasing technology leadership experience for a multi-site organization, preferably a non-profit environment.
- Proof of IT certiffications
- Knowledge of computer applications, operating systems, hardware, software, telecommunications and complex network systems.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of restricted or private information and records and effectively handle sensitive matters.
- Must be able troublehoot system problems and resolve efficiently
- Ability to deal professionally with vendors and service providers
- Ability to provide secure information and function independently.
- Possess a valid California driver's license.
