ROLE SUMMARY

It is a remarkable time to be part of Pfizer's US Vaccines business as it expands on its mission of preventing disease and improving public health, with the ongoing launch of ABRYSVO for the prevention of respiratory syncytial (RSV) virus in Older Adults.
RSV is a common respiratory virus that affects the lungs and airways and can be serious, especially for infants and Older Adults. RSV is highly contagious and can potentially lead to serious consequences in Older Adults. Each year, it is estimated that up to 160,000 Older Adults are hospitalized and up to 10,000 of them die in the U.S. due to RSV. Fortunately, 2023 marked the year where for the first time ever vaccines have been approved to prevent this devastating disease, and now our attention turns to ensuring rapid uptake of ABRYSVO in a highly dynamic and competitive market entering the first full year of RSV vaccination availability in 2024. Educating HCPs on the significant burden of RSV and the importance of RSV protection with ABRYSVO will be instrumental to gaining RSV leadership.
Reporting to the Senior Director, HCP/MedEd Team Lead, the ABRYSVO US Older AdultHCP Marketing Director will play a critical role in leading the development and implementation of Field Force strategy to maximize ABRYSVO share and defend against enhanced competitive pressures to achieve the brand goals.
This position is a high-visibility and exciting opportunity to join a critical brand for the vaccines portfolio as well as develop key marketing capabilities including insight discovery, strategic and analytical thinking, and business acumen while leading the development of the Field Force promotional strategy and tactics.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The ABRYSVO Older Adult Director, HCP Marketing will be accountable for leading the Field Force strategy including targeting/segmentation, messaging and promotional resources, all Field Force touchpoints/meetings and training. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies, tactics, and resources to support the Field Force including designing and executing clear and motivating POA meetings for the Area Business Managers and the HSS Team
  • Oversee HCP segmentation, targeting and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Lead the evolution and optimization of Next Best Action (NBA) strategy
  • Garner real time insights and feedback on HCP strategy, messaging, tactics and competitive landscape through field rides and routine touchpoints with ABM product leads and HSS Brand Engagement Network
  • Supportthe HSR strategy and resource development
  • Spearhead the refresh of existing RSV Uncovered campaign assets to address education gaps around RSV and drive awareness of RSV risk factors
  • Serve as the brand liaison to the Training Team to partner on the development of new hire and sustainment training
  • Support annual operating and tactical plan development process, focused on leading HCP strategy and execution
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all key cross-functional partners, including but not limited to Field Force Leadership, Sales enablement, CMO, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, ISE and Data Science team
  • Lead oversight and management of HCP agency of record relationship

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience required, or Master's degree and 9+ years of experience, or Ph.D./PharmD and 7+ years of experience required.
  • HCP marketing experience required
  • Digital and customer engagement experience
  • Ability to understand customer needs, extract key insights, and translate these into meaningful strategies and in-market results
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in identifying and prioritizing strategic challenges and balancing short term needs with long-term vision
  • Demonstrated success in independently developing, executing, and measuring cross-channel HCP marketing programs
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Change agile and dependable; ability to create deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
  • Demonstrated success maintaining productive/collaborative relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Vaccines experience strongly preferred
  • Prior Launch experience highly desired

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $161,600.00 to $269,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
