• Accounting close
  • Manage the monthly accounting close across respective responsibilities for the GTO segment, with appropriate focus on the balance sheet and areas where significant judgments and estimates are needed/used for accounting purposes
  • Demonstrate ownership and command of details and explanations for the respective responsibilities within the GTO U.S. balance sheet
  • Work with internal and external auditors
• Transactional
  • Review activities performed by shared service teams (reconciliations, journal entries, fixed assets, accounts payable, leases)
  • Review client contracts and prepare accounting position memos for review by the Accounting policy team
• Leadership
  • Serve as the key accounting contact for the GTO FP&A team;
  • Collaborate with FP&A / business unit management on the budget and forecasting process by providing financial analysis and insights to support the development of budgets
  • Drive visibility and provide the right accounting support for transactions or activities that require significant judgments and estimates
• SEC reporting and Accounting Policy Assistance
  • Assist the SEC Reporting team in the quarter-end external reporting process, reviewing the 10-K/10-Q's and Statutory financial statements as it relates to the GTO business
  • Discuss significant transactions and accounting policy questions; operationalize the accounting for the key policy decisions made
• Internal Controls & Process Improvement:
  • For areas under responsibility, ensure a strong internal control environment exists and handle compliance with the Broadridge Sarbanes-Oxley program
  • Identify areas for process improvement and resolve accordingly (re-engineer, automate, simplify, standardize)
• Participate in special projects related to GTO, including but not limited to:
  • Digital transformation of Finance reporting systems
  • Automation of systems and processes

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• 5 - 10 years of experience, including public accounting and/or public company accounting experience
• Strong accounting experience in areas of GAAP, including revenue recognition, internally developed software
• Experienced with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across the GTO and Finance organizations
• Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize work in a dynamic business environment; highly organized and persistent in order to get things done
