Position Summary
The Director, Franchise Sales will direct and coordinate the field sellers through sales activities across the US. Specific activities include, but are not limited to, tracking pipelines, forecasting future sales, tracking completed sales and ensuring timely follow-up by sellers on nationally generated leads. This position will work closely with other departments: Marketing to ensure we are targeting the appropriate markets, Real Estate to determine market capacities and Legal to assist with document collection. This position will also screen prospective franchisees for qualifications to operate a Goddard school. The Director will also be prospecting for new sales. Other activities include traveling with sellers to meet with prospects/franchisees and submittal of weekly forecasts.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing efforts and directing performance of the sales team nationally.
- Coordinate the hiring and training of new Sales Managers.
- Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
- Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients.
- Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
- Executing territory sales plans.
Experience and Competencies
- Ability to set sales targets and achieve them effectively
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
- Ability to assist in design and execute on a successful sales strategy
- Ability to guide, coach and mentor sales managers through deals
- Planning, organization and problem-solving skills
- Advanced time management skills
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working in sales and sales management roles.
- A firm understanding of franchising and Federal Trade Commission requirements related to Franchise Sales.
- Familiarity with budgeting, planning and executing sales campaigns and overseeing local sales activities.
- Experience hiring, managing and mentoring Sales Representatives is a plus.
There will be periodic requirements to travel for in-person events, at the discretion of your manager or the requirement of the company.
