The Director of Food & Beverage holds a pivotal role in ensuring impeccable service and operational excellence across all F&B outlets, including restaurants, room service, lounges, markets, and banquets. Upholding budgetary considerations, the Director oversees the delivery of friendly, courteous, and efficient service, striving to enhance sales revenues while maintaining high-quality food standards. Additionally, fostering a positive work environment and nurturing team development are integral aspects of this position.
Responsibilities
-Financial responsibility regarding forecasting, profit & loss, Costs of goods sold
-Organizing, directing, and supervising Food and Beverage preparation and service across various outlets, adhering to standardized recipes and maintaining top-notch quality.
- Ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in all kitchen and service areas, minimizing waste and optimizing cost-efficiency.
- Collaborating with the Chef on meal planning, pricing strategies for banquets, and other assignments.
- Providing oversight of kitchen staff, outlet operations, banquet food display, and merchandising.
- Continuously striving to enhance guest and employee satisfaction levels.
Qualifications
-Strong Financial Acumen
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry or related field.
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience, or a 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, or a Culinary Degree with 1 to 2 years of hotel or related field experience.
- Holds and maintains applicable certifications including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Extensive experience in restaurant, bar, banquet, catering, in-room dining, and kitchen management.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making, even in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, forecast, and manage budgets effectively.
- Familiarity with hotel organization, department functions, and industry trends.
- Demonstrates a professional demeanor, promotes open communication, and fosters collaborative relationships across departments.
This senior-level, full-time position may include bonus incentives.
