General Purpose: Seeking a Director to join a growing Transaction Advisory practice as a team member to lead buy side and sell side financial accounting due diligence engagements for private equity and corporate clients.
Transaction Advisory team members engage in assessing a company's quality of earnings, analyzing working capital, identifying commitments and contingencies, and conducting comprehensive discussions with management and their advisors.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervising analysts and associates
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and other administrative tasks
  • Identify key risks and potential deal breakers
  • Analyze detailed financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and operational data. Synthesize data and information into meaningful observations and conclusions.
  • Generate a due diligence report to organize and communicate our findings
  • Lead due diligence calls and meetings with client and target company management
  • Review audit work papers to understand key accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide insights to purchase agreement and other deal documents
  • Actively involved in business development including client pursuits and proposals
  • Participating in the hiring and training of analysts and associates

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Relationship-focused (with clients, peers, management, etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial

Education and/or Training:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related major
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in audit and/or financial accounting due diligence (with at least 1 year in due diligence). Big Four experience preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
