Job Title: Director, Operations Analytics & Finance, PLK, Company Operations
Position Overview:
Lead Popeyes company owned restaurant's financial planning and reporting as well as analytics, ensuring profitability through proper budgeting, vendor management, R&M oversight and cost savings initiatives. Directly lead analytics team and influence field team to drive operational performance through thoughtful analytics that drive insight and performance. Allocates work as a team leader; may check on completion/quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead analytics team to drive financial and operational improvement through data insights
- Manage the financial reporting for the portfolio of company restaurants, driving profitability
- Collaborate with FP&A to ensure planning and reporting requirements are met
- Develop management tools to drive operational proficiency; provide daily reporting on restaurant metrics to monitor performance
- Responsible for weekly Performance Boards and assists with strategic decision-making for in-restaurant operations
- Responsible for maintaining routine tools and reports on daily operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Responsible for covering data analysis for the following groups: sales, traffic, upselling, OSAT, SOS, COGs, Labor, EBITDA\
- Responsible for setting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly team goals pertaining to sales, operations, and profitability
- Manage vendor contracts and relationships
- Oversee R&M process and capex allocation; $10M+ annually
- Develop fluency in back office systems to support field team
Essential Duties:
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Streamlines routine processes and follow ups across the entire marketspace
- Creates action plans to reach aggressive targets and close the gaps on key operations metrics including but not limited to speed of service, food quality, friendliness, traffic, and sales
- Routinely presenting to leadership team to provide insight into financial performance across company restaurants
- Manages company R&M and capex budget to facilitate image and equipment improvements
- Ensures data quality on all metrics and troubleshoots any potential discrepancies
- Communicates results to field operations team to identify areas of greatest opportunity
- Provides data (i.e., sales, traffic, and upselling) on restaurant operations for the weekly performance boards in-restaurant
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of applicable procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to restaurant operations
- Skilled in analyzing relevant data and preparing appropriate reports
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand information in business English, both orally and in writing
- 8+ years previous experience; specific experience in Franchise Operations preferred
