SUMMARY
The Director of ERP Architecture and Development is responsible for the evolution of the USRC ERP ecosystem and environment, ensuring it meets security standards and best practices, along with functional, performance, and availability goals. As Director is responsible for the success of his team supporting, mentoring, and coaching them to ensure they are successful in their roles and perform at their best, while ensuring they are following USRC standards. This position will have primary responsibility for monitoring and reviewing the existing platform and will participate in the future search for a replacement/modernization. Highly independent leader, with great communication skills, responsible to maintain an effective communication with vendor partners, peers, business stakeholders and executive leaders, including among others timely escalations, status reports of projects or initiatives, be able to communicate his team outcomes and key performance indicators (KPI) reports to business partners and executives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
- Evaluates competing strategies for implementing new applications or feature upgrades and selects the most appropriate.
- Manages direct reports and third-party contract resources.
- Reports to Executive leadership his team accomplishments, status updates, KPI, risk & mitigation actions.
- Engages in continuous evaluation of challenges and weaknesses in current systems and recommends solutions.
- Provides leadership for both development and support team members.
- Engages in employee recruitment and retention.
- Monitors employee performance to ensure they are aligned with stated job requirements.
- Process owner for data and integration activities within the finance/accounting application environment.
- Oversees the design and implementation of electronic interfaces for banking activities.
- Manages development efforts within the ERP system including project roles and resource allocations.
- Maintains cross-functional competency in finance/accounting principles and ERP/IT technologies.
- Responsible for maintaining an ERP security model that satisfies internal audit committee and outside auditors.
- Provides Level 3 escalated support to resolve issues that exceed the knowledge of front-line technicians and Level 2 managers.
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science, engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years working with ERP systems and leading teams.
- Ability to clearly articulate accounting concepts and business processes.
- Strong knowledge of ERP concepts, SQL development, and data structures.
- Functional knowledge of accounting, finance, supply chain, procure to pay, and field service principles.
