The Director, Data Governance is responsible for developing the framework, establishing as well as optimizing processes, and scaling the delivery of Data Governance activities across the enterprise. You will lead the strategic effort around use of data as well as inform the organization's data and privacy strategy. We are looking for demonstrated performance in a constantly changing, ambiguous environment, and problem-solving leadership while establishing strong partnerships with other leaders across the company.

The mission of the Data Governance team at Crocs is to make data easy to use, understand, and adaptive to the growth of the business. This scope includes improving data quality, helping educate others about Crocs data landscape, establishing data policy with a focus on enabling best practice, and accelerate the deployment of data and reporting with global and domain specific consistency. What You'll Do
• Develop a cross functional Data Governance organization which consist of an executive decisioning body, governance committee, stewards, and custodians. Define the roles and responsibilities related to Data Governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of data. Drive Lead change and influence decision making with governing bodies.
• Drive collaborative efforts between business, functional and IT areas, resulting in the ability to aggregate and understanding differences across disparate data siloes.
• Support the transition and implementation of new business units and other changes into the governance structure to ensure alignment with the overall strategy and meeting of all business needs.
• Support data related change management by acting as the conduit between a user group and the IT development teams. Resolves conversion issues/concerns raised during implementation by facilitating discussions with the proper subject matter experts.
• Establish and own govern a Data Governance program organization, roadmap, processes and policies.
• Develop the Data Governance practices and deeper guidance on how to adopt Data Governance principles across the organization.
• Provide requirements to our technology organization to enable tool delivery for improved data management for critical data including metadata management, data quality, data lineage, data classification, operational and analytics architecture.
• Work with executive leadership, legal, information security, internal audit, data engineering, integrations, and all business lines to support development, approval, execution, and ongoing adoption of data strategies and policies.
• Enable improved understanding of data literacy, data quality, and Data Governance and how it brings business value across the organization.
• Support the personal and professional growth of Data Governance team members by fostering a culture of continuous learning and development
What You'll Bring to the Table
• Bachelor's degree in the field of Information Management, Business Management, Communications, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of professional experience in business analysis, information technology, production support, data analysis, master data management, or other related fields.
• Experience with cloud based data warehouses and data pipelines (Snowflake, GCP, Databricks, Airflow, ADLS, etc.)
• Experience with data catalogs, master data management, and data quality tools (Alation, Collibra, Atlan, Informatica, Reltio, Profisee, BigEye, Anomalo, etc.)
• Experience with Reporting and Data Visualization Tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
• Experience with data products, data mesh, domain driven design or organizational practices
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in large data sets
• Knowledge of data quality, Data Governance, change management, and business transformation
• Knowledge of relevant Data Privacy regulations (CCPA, etc.) IAPP certification a plus
• Ability to stay informed of emerging trends and advancements in Data Governance, data management, data analytics, and related fields
• Effective with creative solutioning and communication to impact and facilitate resolution of a problem/business issue.
• Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and facilitation skills
• Ability to work self - guided or as a team with both technical and non-technical staff
• Willingness to learn, teach and share information with teammates, peers, administration, and users
• Able to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Results passionate, realistic, with a solutions-oriented approach

Salary or Pay Range: $165,000 - $195,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
This position is eligible to participate in a company incentive program.
