POSITION SUMMARY: As the Director, Culture & Engagement, you are a strategic leader responsible for cultivating a positive and inclusive organizational culture where employees are motivated, engaged and aligned with the company’s values and goals.

You will be responsible for providing strategy, leadership and expertise related to talent management, employee engagement, organizational development and employee communications to enhance the effectiveness of our company. In close partnership with business/executive leadership and peers, this position will be focused on helping teams deliver business outcomes by creating interventions that support and promote the Republic culture in terms of engagement, performance and growth of our organization. Along with the demonstrated skills and experience, we are looking for a leader who is passionate about supporting the workplace and driving necessary change, welcomes solving challenging problems, has exceptional business judgment and relationship skills and enjoys developing the strategy as much as being a key member of the execution. Additionally, you will establish metrics and reporting systems to measure the effectiveness of cultural and engagement initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to foster a positive and inclusive organizational culture.

  • Design, implement, and manage programs to enhance employee engagement, motivation, and satisfaction. Leads our employee experience surveys, reviewing results and driving action plans.

  • Responsible to ensure the annual performance management process is conducted, aligned with Total Rewards, and provides opportunities for goal alignment, succession planning, ongoing coaching and performance differentiation.

  • Continually research new approaches for engaging and developing talent and look for opportunities to evolve and improve current processes.

  • Lead efforts to effectively communicate HR programs or updates to ensure alignment across all levels of the organization.

  • Drive initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion, creating an environment where all employees feel valued and supported.

  • Collaborate with Learning and Talent Development team to develop training programs that enhance employee skills, promote professional growth, and reinforce the desired organizational culture.

  • Establish and manage employee recognition and reward programs to acknowledge outstanding performance and contributions.

  • Implement mechanisms for gathering and analyzing employee feedback to continuously improve the workplace environment. Identify organizational improvement priorities in partnership with senior leaders and design and implement organization wide solutions to address pain points and nurture Republic’s culture transformation.

  • Work closely with leadership, HR, and various departments to ensure cultural initiatives align with business objectives.

  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of cultural and engagement initiatives, providing regular reports to leadership.

  • Lead cultural change initiatives during periods of organizational change or growth, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.

  • Partners with HR Operations, Information Technology and other key stakeholders to articulate the organizations digital experience strategy to provide employees with low-effort technology solutions that enhance productivity, collaboration, and organizational agility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex and ambiguous business problems leveraging data analysis and modeling. Big picture thinker who anticipates future trends and consequences and creates competitive strategies and plans.

  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to think strategically but also focus on tactical and operational issues

  • Excellent consulting and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders to drive results.

  • Confident and effective relationship building skills and ability to quickly establish strong working rapport with professionals throughout an organization, functioning as a leader, advisor, business partner.

  • Ability to impact, influence and drive action and accountability in others

  • High degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Experience in evaluating, developing and implementing operational improvements through automation and process redesign to enable scalability and velocity.

  • Experience breaking down complex processes and identifying key pain points in order to deliver business improvements.

  • Strong planning, organization, delegation and decision-making abilities.

  • Proactive and self-starter; approaches responsibilities with a thoughtful and appropriate sense of urgency - operates with a sense of responsiveness to the business and for the business and accustomed to working in a lean, dynamic organization where everyone rolls their sleeves up.

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency to overcome obstacles and achieve measurable results. Resourceful and driven.

  • Superior ability to deliver results in a highly matrixed organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of progressive human resources professional work experience, preferably within a Fortune 500 company or consulting firm.

  • Experience with leading functions through significant enterprise transformation efforts.
