The Director, Crew Scheduling Strategy and Support is responsible for crew technology that is developed in accordance with both federally mandated and contractual obligations for both Pilots and Flight Attendants. They also partner across the organization to implement business processes that support federal and contractual requirements, as well as process optimization to ensure that crew resources are utilized according to plan.

  • Oversees the product life cycle for all products under Crew Scheduling, from ideation to release
  • Leads and develops a large team of Product Owners and Product Managers to ensure technology development is in alignment with corporate priorities
  • Coordinates across other Crew departments to help prioritize and map dependencies to achieve the optimal result
  • Supports the Crew Scheduling Operations team by providing technology and business process improvements
  • Communicates and collaborates with union partners to ensure alignment of product functionality
  • Uses data to develop objectives and key results that measure outcomes and shares insights
  • Maintains awareness of best industry practices regarding new technological developments for the continual improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of crew resource management processes

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Planning, Aeronautics or related area or equivalent experience/training
  • 7 years of leadership experience managing cross-departmental teams

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Experience in Crew Management and in-depth knowledge of Crew Management Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of AA Pilot and Flight Attendant collective bargaining agreements
  • Strong knowledge and expertise of product domain, including the business model, constraints, regulations, and user experience
