About the Position

The Director of Counseling & Wellness Center (CWC) provides leadership and management of CWC to ensure professional, responsive, and effective psychological counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and prevention and outreach services for students, faculty, and staff. The Director ensures that the CWC's policies, procedures, and services are consistent with the goals of the Division of Enrollment and Student Services, the University, and the profession's standards.

The Director of the CWC is a collaborative team member of the Counseling, Health, and Wellness Services area and contributes to the institution's strategic goals and the Division of Enrollment and Student Services.

The position reports to the Associate Vice President of Counseling Health and well-being.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Licensed as a psychologist at the time of application.
  • Eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the State of Washington and gain licensure within 12 months of beginning the position (see Washington Administrative Code 246-924-043).
  • Progressive responsibility for providing culturally informed individual and group counseling and crisis services in a college or university counseling center.
  • At least three years of experience in an administrative role(s) in a college or university counseling center.
  • Experience providing clinical supervision
  • Experience in personnel management of clinical and support staff.
  • Experienced outreach to diverse populations such as BIPOC, multicultural, LGBTQ+
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals and groups of diverse identities.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate, work collaboratively with professional staff and colleagues, and effectively formulate and execute informed administrative and clinical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of an APA-accredited doctoral program and/or completed an APA-accredited internship.
  • Experience in budget management.

Salary 

Hiring range is $125,634 - $135,301/year.  Through longevity this position tops out at $154,079/year.
