Position Overview
Masco Corporation is currently in search for a Director, Corporate Strategy to help drive our business growth and profitability. This leader will play a pivotal role in providing strategic insights and guidance to both business unit and corporate leadership. This position will leverage a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics and competitive landscapes to inform and shape the company's strategic direction. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine strategic plans, identify growth opportunities, and address key challenges facing the organization. This position will report to the Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development and will be based out of Masco's Livonia, MI headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • Leading detailed market analysis initiatives targeted to driving growth for the corporation in key served and adjacent markets.
  • Managing the acquisition / partnering funnel for one or more of Masco's platforms, including identification and evaluation of potential targets.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to Strategy and Business Development professionals in Business Units as needed.
  • Managing 'omni-directional' competitive intelligence gathering and synthesis on major competitors of the corporation.
  • Playing a key role in driving major Corporate Strategy initiatives as well as long-range planning processes across the enterprise.
  • Develop actionable recommendations to address key business challenges and capitalize on market opportunities
  • Assess internal capabilities and resources to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Working closely with the Corporate Development team on execution of M&A transactions.

Education and Work Experience:
  • 10 years of related work experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic marketing or management consulting.
  • Ideal candidate is an experienced leader in a premier strategy consulting firm or similar role in a mid-large size corporation.
  • Direct experience with growth-oriented (i.e., market segmentation, strategic acquisition analysis, etc.) projects.
  • Experience with conducting hands-on analysis on target companies and markets.
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • A bachelors degree is required. An MBA or advanced degree from a top tier school is preferred.

  • Strategic vision and thought leadership.
  • Strong business and financial acumen. Possess outstanding analytical, research and synthesis skills and superior skills in strategic and financial analysis which includes a complete understanding of financial statements.
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to defend research results.
  • Demonstrated people leadership skills - team and process leadership.
  • Confident and able to influence; ability to collaborate effectively with business operations and external resources.

Hiring Range: $157,100.00 - $246,840.00
Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
