DIRECTOR, COMMUNICATIONS, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to define, implement, and lead a communications strategy that enhances the impact of the work achieved by IS&T. Will serve as a change ambassador for the department, engaging with the MIT community in meaningful ways; partner with other members of the IS&T senior leadership team to lead, develop, and implement a wide range of innovative communication strategies in alignment with department and Institute goals; serve as a change advocate to encourage the adoption of new technologies, policies, and/or practices and present a strategic vision while simultaneously addressing day-to-day operations; and develop a consistent, on-brand voice that effectively leads the communication strategy and engages the MIT community regarding IS&T’s portfolio of products and services.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience); seven years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, social media, or another related field; excellent communication skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate highly complex or technical information in a manner easily understand by audiences with varying levels of technical aptitude; demonstrated experience communicating in a consistent, on-brand voice; and experience creating and managing organizational websites and professional social media accounts. Starting salary range: $145,000 - 155,000
