Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Support and care to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies as directed by supervisors
- Engage individuals in recreational and social activities to promote socialization and community integration
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals under your care
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses or therapists, to ensure the well-being of individuals
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to individuals with diverse needs
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to follow instructions and implement care plans accurately
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or physical assistance
