TMI’s Primary Purpose
TMI is dedicated to assisting children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities live, work, and participate in their community. Employees have the rewarding opportunity to support our clients in their daily lives and help them achieve full inclusion within their community. TMI believes the three cornerstones of a strong life foundation include living as independently as possible, real work for real pay, and a safe and caring home. Join the TMI family and experience the gratification that comes from helping others live a fulfilling life they love!
A Day in the Life!
As a Job Coach you will start your day picking up 1-3 clients from each of their homes in your personal vehicle. Ensuring they are prepared for the day, you will take them to 1-2 volunteer job sites in the community, according to your schedule. There, you will model and supervise the tasks required to complete the job duties, while also teaching proper work and social etiquette. At lunch, you may assist your clients with ordering, paying out proper money denominations and ensuring proper change is received. You will document the goals reached by each client for the day in your TMI provided iPad. You will also document your miles driven for the day, to be reimbursed at 67 cents/mile. Following lunch, there may be time for recreation or library time. Your day ends with the completion of client drop-offs to their homes.
