PKT Enterprises has an immediate full-time opening for a Direct Support Professionals (DSP), who are fluent in American Sign Language, in the Roseville area. The role of a DSP involves coming along side persons with disabilities to provide aide and opportunities that may be difficult for them to do independently; this includes getting out in the community and being involved in fun activities. Some other responsibilities would include assisting with client programming, preparing meals, passing medications, doing laundry & house cleaning, assisting with medical appointments. Full training will be provided. Work will be done in a group home setting or with individual clients 1 on 1.
Open Shifts:
Schedule 1: Saturday, Sunday 8:00a-8:00p
Schedule 2: Every other Saturday, Sunday 8:00a-10:00p
Schedule 3: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:30p-10:00p
Schedule 4: Monday - Friday 7:30a-8:45a
Schedule 5: Monday - Friday 4:00p-8:00p
Schedule 6: Every Other Sunday 8:00a-4:00p
Any of the above schedules could be combined if applicants desire more hours.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience working in Community Residential Services
- Fluent in both English and American Sign Language
- Able to read, write, and speak the English language at a level that is able to be understood by the individuals receiving services
- High School Diploma or Proof of General Educational Development (GED) Tests Completion
- Dependable Vehicle
- A Valid Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Car Insurance in Employee's Name
- At Least 19 Years Old
- Able to lift 50lbs
