As a Direct Support Professional at Thomas Allen, you will play a vital role in providing personalized service and empowerment to individuals in their homes and communities. You will work closely with those you support to build new skills, develop healthy habits, and create memorable experiences that last a lifetime.

Schedule

• Week 1: Sunday 7am-10pm; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 4pm-10pm (39 hours)
• Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 4pm-10pm; Saturday 7am-10pm (39 hours)

Responsibilities:

• Empower individuals by assisting with personal goal development and skill-building
• Provide support with personal cares, medication management, and the use of medical equipment
• Assist with meal preparation to promote a healthy lifestyle
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of daily activities and progress towards personal goals
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings, providing assistance as needed
• Provide support with home upkeep, social development, financial management, and other areas as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Demonstrate competency in essential job functions
• Obtain a clear criminal background clearance
• Possess an active Minnesota (MN) Driver's License, or if a licensed driver from another state, be willing to obtain a MN Driver's License within 60 days of relocating Additionally:
• Must possess a clear driving record with fewer than two moving violations in the previous 3 calendar years
• Must not have any major driving violations in the previous 3 calendar years, including but not limited to DUI/DWI, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, etc.

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• High School proficiency in English
• Successful completion of Medication Administration training course upon hire
• Ability to handle physical tasks and perform mobility support

Schedule:

• 12 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Rotating weekends
