Summary:
We are looking for a DSM to join our growing team. The ideal candidate for this position is driven, self-motivated, and has a strong entrepreneurial spirit. The DSM will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, developing, and implementing sales strategies, managing sales operations, and driving business development. The DSM will also be responsible for collaborating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction, communicating with senior management, and monitoring and reporting on sales performance.
Essential Functions:
- Promotes Apex products to regional dealer accounts. Achieves maximum sales and increases market penetration of the Apex brand using the overall strategy of the brand.
- Promotes sales growth and business opportunities for all Apex dealers.
- Works with dealers to create annual strategic business plans to maintain proper product mix levels and overall achievement of improving the Apex-dealer sales objectives.
- Contacts potential dealers and identifies new business opportunities.
- Minimum of 2 weeks of travel per month. Will vary depending on the time of year.
- Attending Boat Shows and Open Houses
- Maximizes retail sales and achieves wholesale objectives.
- Strong email and phone communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Qualifications:
- Must live within the territory.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and team members.
- Experience in the marine industry is a plus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
