Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Create new formulas and samples for developing food products
• Create and manage technical documents for developing products with vendors.
• Work with the QC team and vendors to review technical documents and label designs.
• Monitor the progress of product development projects
• Monitor market products and prices
• Monitor Federal Food Safety Regulations for the compliance, e.g. FDA, USDA, Seafood HACCP and Proposition 65 in California.
• Obtain samples from markets and vendors
• Taste and evaluate samples
• Arrange shipment of samples and products
• Support the R&D Manager in all aspects of research and development
• Other duties as required to support ongoing business needs
Skills & Qualifications:
• 2 years + of working experience in Asian food/seasoning industry
• Ability to cook Asian cuisines and create recipes
• Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field - preferred
• English language skills
• Other Asian languages preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in food industry - preferred
• In-depth knowledge of Asian cuisine
• Strong analytical skill
• Dependable work ethic
• Ability to work independently and in group settings
• Research skill
• Creative and flexible
• Strong management skills of time and tasks
• Intermediate ~ advanced computer skills in Windows and Microsoft.
