Primary Duties: Linux administration. Server builds, patching, automation, problem resolution, cyber vulnerability remediation
Overall Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, provide project and production support for infrastructure technologies, such as servers, storage, and operating systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and technical support to resolve production system issues with Red Hat, Oracle, and CentOS Linux, Pure Storage, and Dell/EMC Isilon NAS.
- Provide support for Infrastructure tools such as Red Hat Satellite, Puppet, OP5 (Nagios) Monitoring, Ansible and Python scripts.
- Install system patches, perform upgrades and applications updates.
- Respond to production incidents within documented service levels.
- Interact and communicate with the IT Service Desk and IT groups to provide customer service and communicate resolutions strategies and procedures.
- Provide a high level of customer service while effectively documenting and communicating processes and improvements of a routine nature.
- Support projects by attending project meetings, gathering and identifying IT Infrastructure requirements, assisting to plan and implement IT Infrastructure required and communicating status updates both written and verbal.

Does not supervise others.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience.

Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs and reporting. Typically accountable for managing ones own time and work flow. Responsibilities are generally tactical in nature and work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base but has a solid foundation to act independently the majority of the time. Still draws on experts and managers when needed but less frequently.
