Direct Care Worker

Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Care and support to adolescent males with mental health disorders
- Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
- Collaborate with other professionals such as social workers, DSS, Case Managers and therapists to ensure holistic care for individuals
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and follow HIPAA guidelines
- Handle conflicts or challenging situations in a professional and compassionate manner

Experience:
- Previous experience in Direct Care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of addressing the needs of the population served and best practices
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and techniques
- Understanding of social work systems and resources
- Experience with medication administration is a plus
- CPI, CPR, First Aid, Seizure First Aid certification is beneficial

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $13.33 - $15.85 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
