Working in Day Program sitting with developmental delayed adults. Experience in case management, ABA and behavioral support required.
DUTIES INCLUDE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
· Collaborate with Program Director on planning daily program and pre-vocational activities during site and community based groups to assigned adult consumers
· Maintains the ability to follow and implement assigned consumer’s IPP goals / Transition plan / ISP objectives
· Attends all mandatory bi - monthly in-services and meetings
· Participant in IRC Quarterly, Annual Consumer Meetings
· Maintains all assigned documentation and data regarding program participants as outlined in Title 17/22
· Ability to carry out both written and verbal communication and instruction
· Communicates with verbal prompting, reminders, modeling, and hand-over-hand instruction during planned indoor and integrated community activities
· Reports all incidents strange / unusual or suspected abuse / neglect to all parties immediately
· Transports consumers during community groups in personal vehicle while maintaining current driving documents of CDL, Auto Insurance, Auto Registration, with an excellent DMV driving record.
· Assist with all pre-vocational job training skills
· Responsible for completing daily notes, weekly contracts, and other program documentation
· Respects and maintains the dignity and rights of all consumers, and those in the workplace
· Provides assistance to consumers with meal preparation daily while encouraging personal independence. Assist consumers with maintaining proper grooming and personal hygiene needs.
· Encourages all consumers daily to work on identified goals through incentive programs and encouragement
· Ability to understand and apply various concepts of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) techniques through documentation, tasks analysis, protocol, observation, data collection, reporting etc.
· Maintain facility safety standards as outlined in MSDS, Safety Awareness Manuals, First Aid / Disaster Preparedness , Drills and designated relocation sites in the event of an emergency
· Ability to maintain 1:3 ratios that fosters growth and independence while providing support and direction.
